I’ve always loved my birthday. My family still tells me, to this day, “we can’t forget Jenny’s birthday”, because growing up, I never let them forget it. I made sure to remind them prior to and the day of. Today, all I could think about was that I’m one day closer to being with my Lord and Savior. My perspective has definitely changed. Instead of just seeing me in this day, I see Him, the Creator of the entire universe and the Creator of me.
As I close out the day, on my 46th birthday, I am reminded of all that God has blessed me with. I’ve been thanking Him all day for another day and year that He’s given me. I am reminded that He created me and loves me more than I can even comprehend.
My prayer for tonight is that everyone reading this will know that for themselves, as well. That He loves you more than you realize.
You are a work of art. A masterpiece.
Psalm 139:13-18
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
How precious are your thoughts about me,[b] O God.
They cannot be numbered!
I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
you are still with me!
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
