You Are Enough

In a world full of people who are praised for how they look or their accomplishments, it may be easy for some to feel less than, if they think they don’t measure up. If you feel like that, or have ever, I just want you to know that you are enough.

I’ve seen many a girl, woman, person, who feels like this, take it out on other people who have no clue what they’re going through. And to that, I say, STOP! And be real with yourself – and others, if you have to. Most importantly, with yourself, though, because in the end, you’re the only one who has to live with you. You don’t want to be or feel miserable, do you?

So, don’t.

And, let me tell you… taking your securities out on someone else will only make you even more miserable than you already might be and you deserve to be happy, too.

This is not to throw shade at anyone going through stuff inside or who have deep rooted or even surface insecurities. I truly feel bad for people like that because I think everybody deserves to feel good and confident, inside. And I believe you can!

This message is not for people who are not confident, but more for people who take their insecurities and project them at other people, in evil ways. That’s not healthy and I believe you will never get past whatever you’re dealing with until you face what’s going on inside and actually deal with it.

I know… hurt people hurt people, but how about we start to fix what’s on the inside, so we can be healed people who heal people. That should be our mission. Not to tear others down, with the hopes of feeling better about ourselves. That will never get you anywhere. It will only lead to more and more bitterness and evil.

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” – Ephesians 4:31

“If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.” – James 3:13-16

I’m sure it’s not easy, if you feel those things, to just get over it and be better right away, but try to remember that God created you, too, and He has a plan for you, and He loves you. Know who you are and Whose you are. Remember that the same God who created all the Heavens and the Earth, created you, as well. Even if no one has ever told you or you just really don’t believe you’re much, you are! You are enough because He made you enough!

“I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.” – Psalm 139:14

“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above – spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” – Ephesians 2:10

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” – Colossians 3:2

And, if in the midst of jealousy, anger, or rage, you acted a fool, know that God is still there, wanting you to turn to Him and surrender it to Him. You got this!

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” – Hebrews 4:16

Now, go and be better. And be blessed.
